About the Job
The AP/AR Specialist is responsible for managing financial record keeping, completing payments, invoicing customers, completing receipts, reconciling accounts. The ability to analyze data and prepare reports as requested by customers and vendors is an additional responsibility of the role.
A successful candidate will display exceptional communication and collaboration skills needed to interact with the different team members. Excellent organizational/time management skills, the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and attention to detail are essential. Interested applicants must be able to take initiative, problem-solve, and work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day financial recordkeeping and account processes including A/P, A/R, invoicing, and bank reconciliation;
- Coordinate and execute financial transactions and activities, such as bill payment and invoicing, etc;
- Implement and adhere to company financial procedures, including reporting and budgeting;
- Assist with internal and external auditing procedures;
- Identify and address discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
Your Experience, Expertise and Passion
- Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation;
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently;
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles;
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner;
- Dependable and prompt with a strong sense of urgency;
- Strong time management, organization and the ability to multitask.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field;
- Proficient with MS Office, Excel, experience with an ERP business software applications;
- Valid Driver’s License required.
