Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Supervisor to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. As a Construction Supervisor, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, review blueprints, and ensure quality control across all phases of construction projects. Your leadership will drive project success while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Duties
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Manage and coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling software to meet deadlines.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to verify accuracy and feasibility.
- Oversee crew management, including supervising subcontractors and on-site personnel to optimize productivity.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and project requirements.
- Monitor project budgets, track costs, and assist in procurement processes utilizing Construction management software like ProCore or Bluebeam.
- Enforce federal construction safety regulations such as OSHA standards, conducting safety meetings and audits consistently.
- Collaborate with project managers on contract administration, change orders, and managing project documentation.
- Lead construction site safety initiatives by implementing best practices for construction safety management.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and clients to resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
- Use tools such as Ohmmeter for electrical testing when necessary to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising commercial or heavy civil construction projects with a strong background in construction site management.
- Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and quality control procedures.
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Strong project scheduling skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams within a fast-paced construction environment; excellent crew management skills.
- Effective managerial communication skills for coordinating teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Experience supervising safety programs aligned with federal safety regulations for construction sites.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes related to construction projects along with cost tracking expertise.
- Construction site experience in interpreting technical drawings, managing schedules, overseeing quality control measures, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
