Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative dish ideas and ensuring consistency in food presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and uphold quality standards
- Handle food with care, utilizing knife skills and culinary techniques to enhance dish quality
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is essential
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food handling procedures, and food safety regulations
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services is a plus
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of culinary techniques are preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food industry environment
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience that showcases your passion for food service excellence
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
