Evergreen Home Performance, a leading company in Maine’s residential energy efficiency sector, is seeking an experience Energy Advisor to join our Portland Sales team. If you are a detail-oriented, results-driven individual who values strong customer relationships and is looking to grow your career with an established, employee-centered company, this position may be the perfect fit for you.
An Energy Advisor works in the Sales department to help customers achieve their goals in energy efficiency, basement waterproofing, indoor air quality, and comfort upgrades. The Advisor is skilled in interpersonal communication, knowledgeable about home construction and building science, and experienced in sales and customer service.
The Advisor is effective at his/her job by being highly organized, self-directed, and disciplined. He/she provides prompt, respectful, and warm customer communication and has excellent sales, verbal, writing, and computer skills.
The Energy Advisor meets customers in their homes, listens carefully to their needs and goals, assesses energy efficiency opportunities using building science diagnostics, recommends solutions, and works through the entire sales process, including contracting, production hand-off, and project-end quality assurance review.

Preferred Qualifications

3–5 years of in-home sales experience in residential energy audits, weatherization, insulation, basement waterproofing, or related fields
- BPI Certified Building Analyst
- Experience working with Efficiency Maine rebates and program requirements
- Knowledge of residential building codes
Physical Requirements:

Ability to navigate in small spaces (e.g. attics and crawlspaces)
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Ability to lift and carry 35 lb.
Other Requirements:

Valid Class C driver’s license
