Please note: This is a three-month temporary role, with potential for extension.
Schedule Expectations:
This is a full-time Float Receptionist position supporting multiple locations across campus. This role requires flexibility, as you will be moving between different locations throughout the day based on business needs. Team members must be comfortable adapting to different environments and providing support wherever needed.
Start times may vary, with shifts beginning as early as 7:00 AM and ending as late as 5:00 PM.
This position requires an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday.
No weekends or holidays required.
Key Criteria
Excellent written, technical, and communication skills
Proficiency with Calendar, Mail, and other OSX based office systems is a plus
Ability to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group is essential
Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks and meet deadlines
Professional composure at all times throughout the day
Effective time management including the ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
Customer service experience preferred
Ability to receive and provide feedback when necessary
Establishes and maintains positive relationships
Ability to influence others, handle conflict appropriately, know when to escalate issues upward, and apply common sense
Flexibility with last-minute schedule changes
Valid Driver's License required - Clean driving record - subject to DMV and Background Check
Reliable mode of transportation, as you may need to leave one location and drive to a new location mid-day
Description
Greeting employees as well as guests into the building, ensuring guests are comfortable and are connected with their correct host
Notifies host of guest arrival in a timely manner
Maintains a guest log and issues badges when necessary
Excellent sense of judgment while ensuring work is handled efficiently
Perform data entry as required/requested
Monitor and maintain all working area conditions and equipment to ensure they are within corporate standards for cleanliness, proper maintenance, and safety
Be familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of guest complaints or disputes
Additional duties may include filing, sorting, mail distribution, and completing additional projects as needed
Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks
Monitoring office supplies, ordering new furniture, and electronics as required
Walk and escort guests to various buildings on campus
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice
Assist with any other projects or tasks that may be requested
Operate telephone systems to answer and properly route incoming calls, provide information, and assist with special requests
Provides high-level customer service to executive-level clientele to ensure efficient operations
Creates engaging learning experiences, developing and delivering training materials, assessing learner progress, and fostering a positive learning environment
Provides safe and efficient transportation by driving mobility club carts for individuals with varying needs, including accessibility needs, and VIP and tour transportation from one area of Apple Park to another
Education & Experience:
Associate's degree preferred, but not required.
