The Riviera Country Club is looking for an enthusiastic bartenders to provide an excellent member drinking experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.
The tradition of the Riviera Country Club has been to provide a second home to its large family of members since its inception in 1945. The Club is a gathering place of members, their family, friends, and business employees. The Riviera Country Club has a proud history of social events and tradition, ranging from seasonal balls, celebrated golf and tennis tournaments, the popular and unique Art Show, and a year-long series of holiday celebrations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
- Interact with members, take orders and drinks.
- Assess members’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails as requested.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Stay member-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, or other related fields is a required.
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender required.
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks is required.
- Computer literacy and POS knowledge a plus.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- The candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays and split shifts.
- The candidate must be 18 years of age or older to serve liquor & will be required to complete both a Food Handlers Certification and Responsible Vendors Certification.
- The candidate must have English language skills to clearly communicate verbally with members, guests, supervisors, and co-workers. Spanish language skills are a benefit.
