Bowers Bros. Inc. is looking to hire a Farm Employee / Equipment Operator for our mid-sized row crop operation located in Monroeville, IN. We grow corn, soybeans, and wheat. We are a progressive family farm that utilizes modern equipment and precision agriculture technology in our operation.
We are looking for an individual who is comfortable operating large farm machinery and equipment, has mechanical aptitude to perform routine maintenance/help with repairs/able to identify equipment issues, is a quick learner, enjoys challenges, is an effective communicator, and is a team player willing to help the operation achieve its agronomic goals.

We are looking to hire a full time employee and a seasonal harvest employee.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
· Operate farm & agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, and other agricultural equipment.
· Participate in planting, spraying, harvest, tillage, tiling, and other seasonal farm operations.
· Drive Semi (CDL not required)
· Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment, including lubrication, fluid checks, filter changes, and replacement of worn parts.
· Maintain & Clean Equipment, including daily inspections of equipment to ensure the equipment is ready for operation.
· Installation of drainage tile.
· Document written & electronic recordkeeping for maintenance, application, and operational records.
· Maintain clean working areas in shop, on grounds, and in equipment.
· Use precision agriculture, guidance, and application systems to complete fieldwork accurately & efficiently.
· Follow farm safety guidelines using required safety equipment and obtaining training as needed.
· Assist with other farm & shop tasks as needed.
Skills and experience:
· Previous agricultural production experience is preferred, but not necessary.
· Demonstrate a general knowledge of agronomic management practices as well as willingness to learn new skills.
· Ability to use the technology associated with modern equipment and precision technology.
· Have basic mechanical skills and are willing to help troubleshoot or repair equipment.
· Ability to work well with others.
· Ability to problem solve.
· Effective communication with colleagues and with management.
· Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not necessary).
· Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous tasks & climb ladders
· Have a driven personality, a desire to succeed, and a team player with a positive attitude.
· Willing to work extended hours for planting and harvesting and other critical seasonal periods; Outside of planting & harvest, typical work week is 45 hours a week with occasional weekends.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
