Location: McAllen, TX 78503
Pay Rate: $11.00 Hourly
Schedule: Monday – Sunday, 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM Will be off 2 days of the week.
Job Overview:
We are hiring Packers to work on the production line in McAllen, TX.
Job Responsibilities:
- Repack and sort fresh fruits and vegetables according to company standards
- Operate production line equipment and heavy warehouse machinery safely
- Inspect products for quality, freshness, and proper labeling
- Stack, organize, and prepare products for shipment
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food-grade work areas
- Follow all GMP, HACCP, food safety, and warehouse safety procedures
- Work in refrigerated and cold storage environments for extended periods
- Meet daily production goals and maintain accuracy in repacking tasks
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving inventory as needed
- Work effectively with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced setting
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse, production, or cold storage experience preferred
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or production machinery is a plus
- Ability to safely lift and carry 30–40 lbs consistently throughout the shift
- Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for long periods
- Must be able to work in cold temperatures during full shifts
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Reliable transportation and good attendance required
- Steel-toe boots required
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening if applicable
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, and temperature changes
- Ability to read labels and instructions clearly
- Ability to communicate with team members for safety and productivity
