Our busy oral surgery practice is seeking a qualified individual to assist in all aspects of patient care, including intake, medical history review, pre and post operative patient instructions and assisting in surgical procedures. A background in medical/dental/surgical assisting would likely provide the necessary experience. This person should be knowledgeable in medical terminology, prescription medications and have basic computer skills. They will also help manage patient flow by rooming patients, assisting the doctor in surgery and assisting in sterilization and recovery of patients after general anesthesia. They will also assist in scheduling and triaging patients and answering clinical questions over the phone. This individual must be responsible, reliable and detail-oriented.
