Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency, presentation, and quality
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe kitchen environment
- Support kitchen operations by organizing supplies, stocking stations, and cleaning as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours
- Assist with meal prep for catering events or special functions when required
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are desirable
- Experience with menu planning, food safety standards, and catering operations is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
