Job Summary
Traverse City Glass is a commercial glazing company. We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist Estimators and Project Managers, providing administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office.
- Handle clerical tasks including filing, proofreading documents, and ordering office supplies.
- Provide support via phone and email, ensuring excellent phone etiquette and prompt responses to inquiries.
- Assist with compiling documentation for contract execution, insurance, and billings.
- Actively participate in project bidding though material take-offs, cost estimates, and workflow timetables.
- Assist with contractor and architect communication, submittals, material ordering, and scheduling.
- Other duties as assigned by the Estimator/Project Manager.
Requirements
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and Adobe.
- Possess time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting and work within deadlines.
- Willingness to grown and learn about the commercial glazing industry.
- Excellent communication skills, internal and external, written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Ability to take initiative, perform work independently without being prompted, and asks for or offers help when needed.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
