Commonwealth Contractors is hiring a full-time Construction Site Supervisor for projects in the Charlottesville, VA area.
This role is for someone who can help keep jobsites organized, moving, safe, and properly documented. The Site Supervisor works closely with the Project Manager to coordinate subcontractors, daily jobsite activity, materials, inspections, punch list items, and jobsite readiness.
The primary responsibility of this role is jobsite supervision and coordination. Limited hands-on work may be needed at times to help keep projects moving, but supervision comes first.
Compensation
Estimated annual compensation: $57,200 – $65,000 per year, based on hours worked and approved overtime
Schedule
Full-time - Monday through FridaySome overtime or weekend work may be required based on project needs

What You’ll Do
- Supervise daily jobsite activity
- Coordinate subcontractors and daily work sequencing
- Keep the jobsite clean, safe, organized, and ready for upcoming work
- Monitor work quality and identify deficiencies, delays, safety issues, or missing materials
- Communicate daily progress, issues, and needs to the Project Manager
- Track jobsite progress against the project schedule
- Coordinate material deliveries, staging, protection, and site readiness
- Protect existing finishes, owner property, completed work, and stored materials
- Assist with inspections by coordinating access and documenting results
- Complete daily field reports with photos and notes
- Upload receipts and field documentation as required
- Assist with punch list items and small jobsite tasks when needed
- Perform limited hands-on work such as cleanup, basic demolition, minor carpentry, touchups, small adjustments, and site preparation
What You’ll Need
- Construction, remodeling, carpentry, foreman, field supervisor, or similar field experienceAbility to work on active jobsites every day
- Ability to coordinate subcontractors and keep work moving
- Ability to recognize quality issues, safety concerns, missing materials, and jobsite problems
- Ability to communicate clearly with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, homeowners, and the Project Manager
- Ability to complete daily notes, photos, reports, and receipts
- Reliable transportation
- Basic tool and construction knowledge
- Dependable, organized, and professional approach to work
Preferred Experience
- 3 or more years of construction, remodeling, or field supervision experience
- Experience as a site supervisor, field supervisor, foreman, lead carpenter, assistant superintendent, or similar role
- Experience coordinating multiple trades
- Experience with daily reports, photos, schedules, or project management software
- Basic carpentry, punch list, trim, demolition, or repair experience
- Experience on residential, remodeling, renovation, or light commercial projects
