Auction Photographer
Fleischer’s Auctions is a premier auction house specializing in historic American antiques. We are seeking an experienced photographer to assist in preparing our sale catalogs.

Summary:
Responsible for photographing historical objects and managing a photographic database in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must submit a portfolio or examples of work to be considered.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Photograph historical objects including (but not limited to) historic photography, manuscripts, documents, books, antique arms (including swords and firearms), flags, and ephemera. Candidate must have a well-developed ability to execute technical photography requirements efficiently.
- Editing photographs and composites for auction and marketing purposes
- Maintaining the organization of images in a digital database
- Create marketing materials within brand guidelines
Education and Experience
- Professional photography portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in lighting, composition, and aesthetics
- (Preferably) Experience at an auction house, the book trade, antiques, or a related field is preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Flexibility, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Must be able to follow layouts and written photo directions with great attention to detail
- Proficiency in image capture software and Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to work well as a team, responding to the needs of specialists and the auction schedule
- Excellent organizational skills, especially in maintaining large databases of photographs
- Be able to stand and walk during shifts and left and move up to 50 lbs

Pay: Up to $40,000.00 per year
