Overview
Waggs 2 Whiskers is seeking pet loving candidates who can provide exceptional overnight care for our client’s pets when they cannot do it themselves. You should have experience working with animals and be knowledgeable about the general needs of dogs and cats. You should love the outdoors and enjoy playing with pets who are energetic. We provide professional services while offering our sitters a flexible schedule and the opportunity to be part of an established company in the growing pet care industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Clean up after, groom, exercise and provide care for cats and dogs. Includes dog walking services; litter box and cage/crate cleaning and overnight stays.
- Observe outdoor and indoor play to ensure safety of the pet.
- Feed and provide water per detailed instructions from our cherished client.
- Be respectful of client’s homes, privacy and individual property when on-site offering overnight pet sitting services. This includes cleaning up after pets and yourself.
- Provide additional customer service as requested by clients, which may include picking up mail and/or packages, watering plants, turning on and off lights, and closing blinds or curtains.
- Check and follow schedule provided by the Waggs 2 Whiskers office.
- Be available to do overnights 2-3 nights a week or more in Shelby or Jefferson County, Kentucky
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Five years of experience taking care of dogs and cats, especially large dog breeds
- Must be 21 years old
- Have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Have a smart phone to use pet sitting scheduler app for tracking visits.
- Ability to work overnight at client’s home. Sits are 7p-7a or 8p-6a or 9p-5a.
- Provide professional references
- Pass criminal background check
Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per day
