Position Overview
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in delivering personalized patient care and supporting the physician and clinical team. This role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and an exceptional patient experience.
As the candidate grows within the role, additional responsibilities and opportunities for leadership and office management may be introduced.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Greet patients warmly and escort them to treatment rooms
- Obtain brief medical history and prepare patients for procedures
- Assist providers during consultations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare medications and assist with injections when appropriate
- Provide patient education and post-treatment instructions when necessary
- Perform chart review and prepare patient files prior to appointments
- Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, and organizing clinic linens, towels, and gowns
- Operate and maintain the autoclave for sterilization of medical instruments following clinic safety protocols
- Properly clean, package, and sterilize instruments before and after procedures
Clinical Photography & Documentation
- Capture high-quality before and after photos following clinic photography protocols
- Ensure consistent lighting, angles, and positioning for accurate documentation
- Upload and organize photos into patient charts
- Assist providers in reviewing and comparing before-and-after images to track treatment progress and results
Administrative Duties
- Answer phones with professional etiquette and manage a multi-line phone system
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
- Process patient paperwork and maintain accurate medical records
Clinic Operations
- Prepare and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms and office spaces
- Monitor inventory and restock medical and treatment supplies
- Assist with staff orientation and training when needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients
- Participate in staff meetings and clinic events
- Maintain a positive, collaborative, and flexible attitude in a team environment

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift or transport up to 25 pounds
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant
- Strong phlebotomy or venipuncture experience
- Experience working in aesthetic or dermatology settings
Office Hours
- Monday – Friday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Closed Sundays and major holidays
