Our manufacturing company has operated for over 125 years and is in need of a Screw Machine Operator. Preferably with ACME-Gridley/Davenport experience. Good mechanical aptitude is a must, along with the ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, and calipers.
2nd shift (2:15 p.m. - 12:45 a.m. M-Th)
Compensation: $17/hr.+ $1/h differential
General job duties are listed below.
- Operates one or more previously set up multiple spindle screw machines to perform a series of machining operations on bar stock.
- Reads Blueprints and job orders for information on dimensions, tolerances, and number of pieces to be machined.
- Adjusts machine controls and changes tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Replace or adjust tools needed to complete job.
- Documentation of job and quality checks completed regularly.
