Position Overview:
The Facilities Manager role is responsible for performing all day to day, monthly, quarterly and annual preventative maintenance, minor repairs, preventative upkeep, and quick-response troubleshooting to ensure all locations remain safe, functional, and guest ready at all times.
Repairs will be handled primarily by the Facilities Manager. Outside assistance from a reliable vendor list will only be available should the facilities manager not be able to complete a repair due to required licensing not being available or a lack of knowledge on the full scope of the repair.
The ideal candidate is flexible with availability, proactive, organized, professional in guest-facing environments, and comfortable traveling between multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance
Conduct monthly detailed facility inspections across all spa locations monthly on a regular scheduled basis and communicate with the Director of Operations any issues.
Identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues
Noticing early signs of equipment wear (e.g., slow-moving hydraulic massage tables, issues with nail reclining etc.)
Monitoring plumbing performance by catching minor leaks, reduced water pressure, or unusual noises before they result in shutdowns or water damage
Inspecting electrical components for loose outlets, flickering lights, or malfunctioning GFCIs to prevent safety hazards or power loss during services.
Identifying sanitation risks early, including slow drains, mineral buildup, or ventilation issues, and resolving them before they affect compliance or guest experience.
Recognizing environmental changes like inconsistent room temperature, humidity imbalance, or unusual odors that signal HVAC or air-quality issues.
Replacing consumables and parts proactively, such as filters, bulbs, seals, and hoses, before they degrade service quality or cause equipment failure.
Responding to reported subtle operational issues and validating concerns before they escalate into service interruptions.
Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems such as HVAC systems, dryer vents, dryer cabinets, water heater and water line flushes.
Split time outside of inspections traveling between locations to conduct minor repairs.
General Maintenance & Repairs
Treatment Room and Guest Areas
Tightening, leveling, and repairing treatment room tables, chairs and stools
Replacing upholstery hardware, headrests, arm supports
Minor cabinetry and drawer repairs
Fixing door handles, hinges, soft-close mechanisms
Repairing or replacing faucets, showerheads, hoses
Clearing slow drains and traps
Repairing minor leaks (gaskets, seals, supply lines)
Replacing light fixtures, bulbs, dimmers
Resetting tripped breakers and GFCIs
Repairing or replacing outlets and switch plates
Troubleshooting low-voltage systems (assistance buttons)
Basic troubleshooting of refrigerators, dishwashers, ice and water machines.
Replacing filters, bulbs, hoses, and wearable parts
Patching nail holes, removing scuffs, and repairing any minor drywall damage
Touch-up painting
Replacing damaged tiles or floorboards, grout repair and/or caulking
Securing loose baseboards or trim
Clean all storefront exterior windows on a scheduled basis
Repairing grab bars, handrails, and non-slip flooring
Ensuring emergency lighting and exit signage works
Testing and replacing batteries in safety systems
Addressing trip hazards immediately
Assembling and repairing of shelving units, furniture, fixtures and equipment as needed
Adjusting lockers, hinges, and locks
Repairing benches, loungers, and retail fixtures
Facilities Support
Day to day will involve visiting locations to complete all minor repair tasks assigned.
Monthly detailed facility inspections will be scheduled across all spa locations
Monthly preventative maintenance is scheduled and performed for high volume locations for dryer vent and dryer cabinet cleaning.
Quarterly preventative maintenance is scheduled and performed for remaining dryer vent and dryer cabinet cleaning and window cleanings.
Bi Annual preventative maintenance on water heaters is scheduled and performed.
Same day requests may be made to respond to last minute urgent needs without prior notice.
Vendor & Operations Coordination
Communicate with Operations regarding repairs, timelines, and material needs
Available to be onsite for any major repairs being conducted by licensed contractors to allow access, monitor progress and ensure proper completion.
Assist in tracking completed work, ongoing issues, and supply usage
Multi-Location Travel
Able to travel between 8 spa locations within the DFW metroplex
Available to respond to urgent maintenance issues as needed with minimal notice
Maintain a flexible schedule to support operational needs
2+ years of handyman, facilities, or maintenance experience (multi-site experience preferred)
Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Comfortable working in guest-facing, wellness-focused environments
Professional, clean, and respectful demeanor
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
Basic smartphone/computer skills for work orders and communication
Experience in maintaining and repairing facilities
Universal EPA certification required
Experience in dryer vent cleaning
Compensation:
Salary Range - $75,000 - $90,000 Annually
