Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Grill Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at Guthrie Edition. This role involves preparing high-quality grilled dishes and assisting with food prep in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent customer service skills, and comfort using our POS system to process cash and credit card transactions. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking and prep areas in compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Operate the POS system efficiently to process cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately
- Ensure timely delivery of food orders while maintaining high standards of presentation and taste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests
- Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, equipment use, and workplace safety
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a grill cook or prep cook is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Comfort using POS systems for processing transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus
- Positive attitude, teamwork-oriented mindset, and reliability are essential qualities for success in this role
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
