We are a multi-location dental practice focused on high quality patient care, efficiency and a strong team culture. We’re seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to help steer pediatric clinical operations and support our practice as we continue to grow.
Position Overview:
In this leadership role you’ll oversee assistant-level staff, ensure clinical standards are met, support training, and assist chairside when needed. You’ll be both a practitioner and a mentor.
Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical team in daily operations; assist chairside as needed
- Oversee and train dental assistants (new and existing)
- Ensure consistent high-quality chairside assistance, impressions, four-handed dentistry, treatment planning support
- Strong capability with X-rays, understanding of insurance (including what’s covered in GA, especially Medicaid)
- Be the first to arrive/last to leave when required — ownership of clinic flow
- Coordinate sterilization, instrument readiness, inventory and supplies
- Work closely with doctors and front‐office staff to support patient care and scheduling
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) required
- Several years of dental assisting experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
- X-ray certification required
- Coronal Polishing Certification required (Georgia requirement for polishing duties) gdha+1
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, team-oriented
- Familiar with impressions, retainers, treatment planning, insurance nuances in Georgia
- Dependable, energetic, and ready to lead
Schedule:
Full-time, across two of our locations. Some flexibility required for arriving early or staying later when needed.
