Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols
- Assist orthodontists during procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and professionalism
- Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, while adhering to radiation safety standards and clinical confidentiality policies
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems ensuring accurate documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices specific to orthodontic care, including appliance maintenance and dietary restrictions
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and coordinating follow-up visits with the dental receptionist team
Skills
- Proficiency in Braces assisting techniques.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy and dentistry fundamentals
- Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and sterilization devices in accordance with infection control standards
- Familiarity with documentation and record keeping
- Expertise in infection prevention management including aseptic techniques and dental sterilization procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating excellent patient care skills
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control policies to ensure a safe clinical environment at all times

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
