In support of the mission of the University, the Enrollment Communication Specialist will be responsible for creating marketing emails, texts, and print pieces within the CRM system (Slate) for the Division of Enrollment Management, including undergraduate and graduate admissions. Develop strategic email and SMS communication plan for outreach efforts to prospective students, parents and school counselors. Maintain and enhance features in lead generation forms and corresponding form and event communications as needed. Update language in letters of admission and coordinate with the Operations team to ensure proper implementation prior to decision releases. Assist in testing communications prior to decision releases. Working closely with the Director of Marketing for Enrollment Management, lead content creation and copywriting for email, print, and SMS communication tactics. Develop communication schedule, confirm scheduling with stakeholders, and monitor deployments for completion and deliverability. Help manage AI tools used to recruit students. Create and monitor overall content calendar to ensure optimal email frequency and cadence.
SCOPE: Interacts on a regular basis with administration, staff, faculty, students, and various individuals and organizations outside the University community
ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Enrollment Communications Specialist is expected to use technology to streamline and improve communications for a superior student experience and will use their expertise to suggest changes to the current communication plans that support enrollment goals. The Enrollment Communications Specialist will be responsible for:

Manages and executes undergraduate recruitment communication plans via the University’s Slate CRM system.

Writes, edits, or rewrites emails from internal and external sources for proper positioning, and to align with brand messaging.

Co-manages AI tools that are used to recruit students.

Assists in the development and execution of strategies for both new and existing email content production and delivery, including creating email content.

Proofreads copy for email, print, and other related admissions projects.

Oversees the creation and implementation of prospective student print and email communications.

Develops, tests and manages new email templates, ensuring they are responsive and mobile friendly.

Quality assurance; ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the audience populations and communication flows.

Manages all formal communications to prospects, applicants, and admitted students, including, but not limited to, admission decision letters and scholarship letters.

Develops reports and measures analytics; A/B tests and tracks results to monitor and optimize message effectiveness in conjunction with enrollment goals.

Effectively use features to maximize CRM functionality, such as forms, dynamic content liquid markup, snippets, on-demand print, etc. Stay abreast of best practices, changes, upgrades, enhancements and resources related to Slate Deliver.

Responsible for ongoing testing, quality assurance, list development, reporting, troubleshooting and support for Slate Deliver.

Maintains awareness of, shares and utilizes email best practices including browser/client/device compatibility, optimizing deliverability and message standards, as well as maintaining CAN-SPAM compliance.

Participates in various admissions events (i.e., Open House, Accepted Student Days, etc.).

Assists with the optimization and administration of the enrollment systems, including, but not limited to Technolutions Slate.
