POSITION: NUTRITION DRIVER
Non-exempt/full-time
Summary: Under the Supervision of the Food Coordinator, the Nutrition Driver is responsible for delivering meals to home-bound elderly and/or disabled program participants and congregate meal sites. Will need to operate a vehicle equipped with both hot and cold units for door-to-door service, prepare and unload food containers, complete records of time, mileage, and other data requested by the supervisor. Complete daily inspections and maintenance of work vehicles and record, submit any donations received from the clients, and distribute any notices/information that may be required of the program.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age (as required by insurance coverage) with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience in delivery service. Possess a valid Class C California Driver’s License, with an acceptable driving record. Drug testing will be part of the screening process for new employees and you must submit to random drug testing periodically as part of your provision of employment. Have familiarity with preventative vehicle maintenance. Obtain a Food Handlers permit and ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
Compensation based on experience: $17.00 – $18.00 /hr
