Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Company Driver to join our team. This position primarily consists of local freight deliveries with occasional regional runs as needed. Drivers are home nightly, off on weekends, and do not work holidays. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and committed to providing excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Transport freight to customer locations in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections.
- Secure and inspect loads to ensure safe transportation.
- Maintain accurate logs and required transportation documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management.
- Report any equipment issues, accidents, or delays immediately.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the company positively.
- Assist with trailer moves, drop-and-hook operations, and occasional customer-specific requirements.
Schedule
- Primarily local routes.
- Occasional regional runs with overnight stays as needed.
- Home nightly for regular local routes.
- Monday through Friday.
- No weekends.
- No holiday work.
- Overtime opportunities available based on business needs and driver preference.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate tractor-trailer equipment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
