We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team in maintaining campus cleanliness and supporting the kitchen operations at our Clawson location. This position plays a key role in ensuring that our kitchen operations run smoothly and contributes to providing nutritious, high-quality meals to young children.
This position is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:30 am-6:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the Main Kitchen throughout the day.
- Wash a high volume of dishes, cookware, and utensils by hand, including collecting dirty dishes from classrooms.
- Portion and label snack and prepared food items and deliver food to classrooms.
- Load and unload food/supply deliveries, which may involve heavy lifting and traveling up and down stairs.
- Complete kitchen closing duties such as trash disposal, sweeping, mopping, and ensuring a clean kitchen at the end of the day.
- Assist with cleaning of common areas and classrooms as needed, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.
- Restocking classrooms with paper products and other essential supplies.
- Other miscellaneous kitchen operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Willingness to work hard and assist with a variety of tasks, including heavy lifting and repetitive duties.
- Experience in food service or kitchen operations is a plus, but not required—training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Interest in working in a supportive, positive environment around young children.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
