Fabrication Quality Control Inspector
Role Overview:
The Fabrication Quality Control Inspector supports production by ensuring parts are made according to quality standards. QC inspectors are responsible for inspecting, measuring, and documenting products to meet customer requirements. Inspectors use provided drawings and sales orders to approve or reject product while in-process and upon completion.
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Shift: 2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:30 AM Monday - Friday; Overtime & some Saturdays required
- Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Quality Inspector.
- Technical Requirement: Machining and/or threading experience is required.
- Core Areas of Experience: Measurement, steel fabrication, and inspection.
- Welding: Welding experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Language: Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Blueprint Reading: Basic ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Math Skills: Strong math proficiency, including adding and subtracting fractions and decimals, as well as understanding $+/-$ tolerances.
- Communication: Ability to clearly document and communicate approvals or rejections of products.
- Organization: Ability to multi-task and maintain sharp attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds and hazard cues.
- Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations promptness.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments across a variety of climate conditions.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly for most of the shift.
