Under direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Hourly - Specialized Recreation Class B Driver (with passenger endorsement) provides safe transportation, in a City of Walnut Creek vehicle, to participants needing transport to various destinations. In general, this position will be transporting individuals with disabilities to various activities such as day trips, evening social activities, and dinners. This is a part-time, hourly non-benefitted position, scheduled according to when activities are planned. The driver is able to choose when they are available to drive. Hours available vary from week to week but average three to eight hours per month. In addition to providing transportation to and from events, the driver will provide participant assistance during the activity being attending by the participants.
