Set within the energetic heart of downtown Durham, this full-time, onsite role serves middle and high school students during school hours, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Key Attributes & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Eligible for or holding a North Carolina SLP license
- Open to Clinical Fellows, with strong mentorship offered
- Ability to work effectively with middle and high school students
- Collaborative, flexible, and culturally responsive communication style
- Strong written documentation and case management skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Administer assessments, interpret results, and develop IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to maximize students’ communication growth in academic environments
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and comply with all relevant documentation requirements
- Advocate for students and participate actively in IEP meetings
