Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Wellness Director to lead our comprehensive wellness programs within our senior living community. This vital role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing wellness initiatives that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents. As a Wellness Director, you will serve as a key leader in fostering a vibrant, supportive environment where residents can thrive. Your expertise in nursing administration, care planning, and interdisciplinary coordination will drive the success of our wellness services, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and resident needs with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Duties
- Develop and execute personalized care plans that align with residents’ health goals, medical conditions, and preferences.
- Supervise and coordinate the wellness team, including nurses and caregiving staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee documentation review and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
- Manage shift schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to maintain seamless operations across all wellness services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to monitor resident progress using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents’ physiology and anatomy to tailor care strategies effectively.
- Ensure all medical records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date while reviewing documentation for quality assurance.
- Maintain compliance with AR OLTC regulations and other healthcare standards related to assisted living.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a strong background in nursing administration and nurse management.
- Supervising experience leading multidisciplinary teams within healthcare settings such as home health or hospice care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes essential for effective care planning.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for managing medical records and documentation workflows.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts efficiently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations alongside experience managing care plans aligned with AR OLTC requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with residents’ families, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to navigate complex medical records systems confidently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review.
