About the Role
Riomar Marine Group is hiring a full-time Marine Inspections Engineer to perform thorough, accurate inspections on the vessels we service. This is a mobile position: you'll travel to boats and job sites, work independently, and be trusted to document what you find honestly and completely. If you take pride in doing a job right the first time and have a sharp eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Perform each inspection accurately, thoroughly, and truthfully, documenting the proper function and condition of every item on the applicable inspection form.
- Identify, document, and report any failed items, plus any relevant issues you notice outside the specific scope of the inspection.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and supporting notes in the company's maintenance software.
- Flag inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete items within each vessel's inspection forms.
- Communicate findings, concerns, and recommendations to department leadership as needed.
- Keep the inspection cart neat, stocked, and ready for use, and update the supplies list as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, honesty, and accountability.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to represent Riomar Marine Group well in the field.
- Willingness to become proficient in the company's maintenance software for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to follow management direction, department procedures, and assigned requests while accommodating client needs within company policy.
- Prior marine, mechanical, or inspection experience highly preferred — willing to train the right candidate as long as you have mechanical background.
- Someone who will embrace our company culture and pride
What We Expect
We hold a high standard for quality, professionalism, and consistency. You'll give full effort, complete duties properly the first time, maintain a clean and professional appearance and uniform, and provide the highest level of service at all times — while demonstrating honesty, accountability, and integrity in every inspection and report.
