Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations on food and beverage selections.
- Serve food and drinks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all items are prepared according to restaurant standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and condiments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues effectively.
- Sanitate work areas regularly to adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Process transactions using the POS system, including Aloha POS, accurately handling cash and credit card payments.
- Assist in training new staff members as needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of the food industry, including culinary techniques and food service protocols.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or similar platforms.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Attention to detail in order taking and food presentation.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas.
