Duties
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of dish racks, crates, and equipment safely and correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized
- Support food safety management by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation standards throughout the shift
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including organizing supplies for kitchen staff
- Follow all health regulations related to food safety, sanitizing procedures, and kitchen hygiene standards
Experience
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitizing procedures is a plus
- Experience with dishwashing equipment or commercial kitchens will be advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations such as bussing or supporting catering events is beneficial
- Prior experience in banquet or catering environments can enhance your ability to adapt quickly in busy settings
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety protocols ensures success in this role
