IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Recreation Supervisor
DIRECTION OF OTHERS: None
NATURE OF WORK: Assist Lead Guest Services with duties necessary for the day-to-day operation of the Brooktree Clubhouse and possibly other city facilities. Assist Lead Programmers with duties necessary for implementation of Recreation Programs.

Providing quality facilities and programs.

Preparation, set-up and takedown, general maintenance, implementation and clean-up of facilities, equipment, and amenities.

Ensuring all rules, regulations and safety practices are properly enforced.

Effectively communicating and engaging with participants.
-
Ensuring healthy and sanitary facilities.
-
Inspection of facilities and equipment for unsafe conditions.

Maintaining clean facilities equipment and recreation areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.

Completing records and reports.
-
Effectively monitoring the behavior of participants to maintain order and safety.

Daily facility operation duties.

Preparation and selling concession products, facility admissions, memberships and general merchandise

Promoting Owatonna Parks and Recreation programs and facilities.

Ensuring participants receive appropriate first aid.
-
Providing exceptional customer service; answering questions effectively and appropriately

Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Hours of Work: This is a position with scheduled shifts including mornings, days, evening, weekends, and holidays. Scheduled hours may range from 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. This is a seasonal position anticipated to take place August through early/mid November, but not guaranteed.
Physical and Mental Demands: This position works at various facilities and locations including indoor and outdoor, with all types of weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk or hear, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
