Fine Dining Server
Position Summary
NOBU, the world-renowned Japanese restaurant recognized for its exceptional cuisine and elevated hospitality, is seeking an experienced Fine Dining Server to join our Atlanta team.
The Fine Dining Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive, personalized, and knowledgeable service that exceeds guest expectations. This position serves as an ambassador of the Nobu brand by creating memorable guest experiences through professionalism, menu expertise, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume fine dining environment while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, personalized service throughout every stage of the guest dining experience.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Nobu's menu offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, wine, sake, cocktails, and daily specials.
- Guide guests through the menu by making knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system and ensure timely communication with the kitchen and bar.
- Monitor tables to anticipate guest needs and promptly respond to requests.
- Maintain proper timing and pacing of courses to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Present and explain menu items with confidence and professionalism.
- Process guest payments accurately while maintaining confidentiality and cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations before, during, and after each shift.
- Collaborate with hosts, bartenders, food runners, bussers, chefs, and management to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
- Comply with all health, sanitation, food safety, alcohol service, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance and uphold Nobu's standards of hospitality and guest service.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and notify management when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years of restaurant serving experience required; upscale or fine dining experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional guest service in a high-volume, luxury dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, sake, spirits, and cocktail service preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest engagement skills.
- Professional, polished appearance and demeanor.
- Strong sales and suggestive selling abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexible schedule with full availability for lunch, dinner, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
