Job Summary
Join our dynamic landscaping team as a Lawn Care Lead Crew Member and take charge of delivering exceptional outdoor maintenance and beautification services. In this energetic role, you will be taking over a 40 hour per week (+ or -) lawn route as the company begins to add projects based work and lawn treatments to the services it offers. Your leadership will inspire teamwork, uphold safety standards, and promote high-quality craftsmanship across all outdoor spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in landscape maintenance and puts you on track to be in line to assuming an Operations Management role in the future. The pay is commissioned based with a $15/hr base pay. A candidate can expect to earn between $20-$24 per hour commission pay if they are moving at an efficient pace.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and conduct landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, as well as project based work.
- Coordinate construction projects such as planting beds, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to enhance landscape aesthetics
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to maintain a secure work environment
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on landscaping techniques, equipment use, and best practices in land management
- Conduct quality inspections to guarantee that all work meets company standards and client specifications
- Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to keep tools and machinery in optimal condition
Experience
- A strong work ethic and a desire to grow and move up in rank within a young and fast growing company
- Strong background in lawn care, gardening, horticulture, or landscaping with practical knowledge of plant health and soil management
- Familiarity with plants, sod, construction projects, tree care, and general maintenance tasks is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and coordinate multiple projects efficiently
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation
- Prior experience working with various landscaping tools, machinery, and construction materials is preferred
