Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in reading blueprints. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. The Carpenter will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed to high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Construct and install frameworks, structures, and fixtures according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements.
- Perform frame carpentry tasks, including building walls, roofs, and floors.
- Lay tiles and install fixtures as part of finishing work.
- Execute concrete forming for various construction projects.
- Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components.
- Apply caulking to seal joints and edges for water resistance.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Skills in frame carpentry, tile laying, concrete forming, and fixture installation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to plumb structures accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively.
