American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an adult outpatient rehab setting, requiring an active AK PT license and 1+ year of relevant experience.

Outpatient rehabilitation clinic setting serving adult patients
-
40 hours per week with a 30 minute to 1 hour unpaid lunch
-
Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 7am-6pm and Saturday 8am-1pm
-
13-week assignment

Active Alaska PT license required at time of submission (license required if applicable)

Current BLS certification required

Valid driver's license required

Entry-level qualifying master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or bachelor's/master's degree with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience equivalent to doctorate-level knowledge

Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab required

Flu vaccination required

Provides general PT evaluations and treatments to adult patients with varying diagnoses to improve functional abilities

Oversees and directs work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated support staff

Formulates and implements individualized therapy treatment plans with goals, modifying based on patient response

Reviews clinical records, attends care conferences, and collaborates with referring providers and healthcare team members

Documents patient encounters, treatments, and progress according to facility policies
-
Develops patient/family education programs and home exercise plans, ensuring understanding through feedback and demonstration
-
Assists with acquisition and fitting of durable medical equipment based on patient needs
-
Maintains clinical space cleanliness and manages supply and equipment stock levels

Adheres to APTA regulatory and practice standards

Candidates must live at least 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible for the traveler rate
