Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of our growing company. This role is responsible for managing company accounting processes, maintaining accurate financial records, tracking job profitability and work in progress, and helping leadership maintain clear financial visibility across all areas of the business.
We are looking for someone who can confidently manage the flow of money throughout the company, maintain organized and accurate accounting systems, and help ensure projects are financially tracked from start to finish.
Duties
- Manage company books using QuickBooks Online
- Maintain accurate financial records and organized accounting systems
- Categorize and track company spending across departments, vendors, and individual jobs
- Monitor and maintain accurate job costing and profitability tracking
- Track work in progress (WIP) on active projects
- Help leadership maintain visibility into project costs, margins, and overall financial performance
- Manage accounts payable and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer payments
- Process AIA billing and progress invoicing
- Reconcile accounts, credit cards, and bank statements
- Maintain accurate reporting of incoming and outgoing funds
- Assist with cash flow tracking and financial organization
- Help improve and maintain accounting procedures and workflows
- Work closely with leadership to ensure financial information remains accurate and up to date
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks Online required
- Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience required
- Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience with job costing and WIP tracking preferred
- Experience with AIA billing or construction/service-industry accounting strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional communication and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, trustworthy, and highly organized

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
