Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Travel ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The RN will work in a 16-bed, high-acuity Medical ICU caring for critically ill adult patients requiring complex monitoring, ventilator support, titratable medications and treatment for multi-organ failure.
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Schedule: 36hrs
Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,911.62 based on 36 hours
Start Dates: September 14–September 28, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients
- Administer medications, IV infusions and critical-care drips
- Manage ventilators and life-support equipment
- Respond to changes in patient condition
- Document patient care in Cerner
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team
- Educate and support patients and families
- Float to other units or hospitals as needed
Requirements:
- Active Alabama or compact RN license
- Temporary licenses are not accepted
- Associate degree in nursing or higher
- Current AHA BLS
- Current AHA ACLS
- Current NIHSS certification
- At least one year of recent ICU experience
- Two years of ICU experience preferred
- Candidates with 18 months of experience may be considered
- Must work every other weekend and required holidays
- Must be willing to float
