Assistant Community Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Community Manager to join our multifamily apartment community. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional resident experiences while supporting the daily operations of the property. This position works closely with the Community Manager to ensure efficient operations, strong occupancy, and resident satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily management and operation of the apartment community.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
- Support leasing activities, including tours, follow-up, lease preparation, and renewals.
- Process rental applications, maintain resident files, and ensure compliance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations.
- Collect rent, post payments, and assist with delinquency management.
- Respond to resident inquiries and help resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure service requests are completed and residents are kept informed.
- Assist in preparing reports, budgets, and occupancy updates.
- Help organize resident events and community engagement activities.
- Serve as acting Community Manager in their absence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in multifamily property management, leasing, or a related customer service role preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with property management software such as Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, or Onesite is a plus.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and property management best practices preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive, resident-focused attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or industry certifications are a plus.
