Assistant General Manager

We're looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager who loves hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in building strong teams. This isn't a desk job. We're looking for someone who enjoys leading from the floor, coaching employees, solving problems, and creating memorable guest experiences every day.
Our restaurant is a scratch kitchen serving elevated comfort food with genuine Texas hospitality. We are building a culture based on accountability, teamwork, consistency, and respect.
What You'll Do
· Lead daily Front of House operations while supporting the kitchen when needed
· Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable
· Drive exceptional guest satisfaction and professionally resolve guest concerns
· Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality
· Ensure compliance with Health Department, TABC, OSHA, and company standards
· Manage labor costs, scheduling, and daily productivity
· Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees
· Conduct daily line checks and manager critical paths
· Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls
· Support opening, closing, and shift management responsibilities
· Create a positive, professional culture where employees enjoy coming to work
We're Looking For Someone Who
· Has at least 3 years of restaurant management experience
· Has experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants
· Leads with humility and earns respect through action
· Is calm under pressure and thrives during busy shifts
· Coaches instead of simply directing
· Pays attention to details without losing sight of the big picture
· Holds high standards while treating people with respect
· Is dependable, organized, and self-motivated
· Is willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands
Preferred Experience
· Scratch kitchen operations
· Bar and alcohol service knowledge
· Scheduling and labor management
· Food cost and inventory controls
· Health Department compliance
· ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain)
· TABC Certification
