WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Accounts Payable
- Maintain subcontractor/vendor information in the Company's project management and accounting systems including W9, insurance and worker's compensation compliance. Assist with annual insurance audit.
- Set-up projects, enter commitments and change orders and invoices in the Company's project management system.
- Work with Project Managers to resolve issues with subcontractor invoices, project budgets and retainage.
- Maintain the integration between the Company's project management and accounting systems, including monthly reconciliations between the two systems.
- Prepare weekly aging report to ensure compliance with documentation requirements such as W9, insurance, worker's compensation and lien releases.
- Reconcile project commitments and invoice retainage, as appropriate.
- Accounts Receivable
- Work with Corporate Controller, Project Administrator and Project Managers to ensure timely and accurate execution of the draw process. Prepare requisite draw documents according to project specifications.
- Reporting
- Assist Corporate Controller to prepare Construction Summary, cash position and related reports, as appropriate.
- Other Duties
- Prepare and enter payroll job costing entries.
- Oversee the intercompany invoicing process.
- Reconcile travel and entertainment expenses.
- Other duties as assigned, including backup and support other Accounting Specialists, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED
- High-school diploma or GED equivalent. Associates degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of accounting experience.
- Accounting experience in construction, real estate, and/or property management is preferred.
- Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, DocuSign and/or Procore is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance.
