Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment will ensure timely and secure deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across long-distance routes, including OTR driving routes, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Transport various types of cargo, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and specialty loads like flatbed or tanker shipments.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety.
- Ensure proper documentation for freight delivery, including load manifests, delivery receipts, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo handling activities as required by federal and state laws.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license.
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, flatbed hauling, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment.
- Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures and truck loading/unloading techniques.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling.
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and real-time adjustments.
- Experience with delivery driving on various routes including OTR routes that require manual handling skills.
- Skilled in the safe operation of equipment such as forklifts when loading or unloading freight.

Pay: $28.04 - $33.77 per hour
