We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your ability to provide excellent customer service, manage orders efficiently, and maintain a positive atmosphere will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using our POS system.
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining quality standards.
- Buss tables promptly and efficiently to prepare for new guests.
- Handle cash register transactions, including processing payments and providing change.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting up and breaking down tables.
- Adhere to food handling safety regulations and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for accurate transaction handling.
- Experience with restaurant management systems such as Aloha POS or OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for food service, with an eagerness to learn about menu items and upselling techniques.
