Bilingual Purchasing & HR Specialist (English/Spanish)
Position Overview
Just Pallets and Crates is seeking a motivated and organized Bilingual Purchasing & HR Specialist (English/Spanish) to support daily operations at our wood pallet and crate manufacturing facility. This position combines purchasing, vendor coordination, and human resources responsibilities to help maintain efficient production operations and a positive workplace environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and capable of communicating effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking employees, vendors, and management. They will need to be able to use internal ERP systems, external Online software as well as be proficient in MS Office and Google Sheets/Docs software.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement
- Assist in the purchase of lumber, nails, repair materials, shop supplies, PPE, and operational equipment
- Create and manage purchase orders and supplier communications
- Track inventory levels and coordinate material deliveries
- Assist pricing negotiations and maintaining strong vendor relationships
- Monitor purchasing costs and identify savings opportunities
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records
- Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure uninterrupted operations
Human Resources & Administrative Support
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees
- Translate and communicate company policies and procedures in English and Spanish
- Maintain employee files, attendance records, and HR documentation
- Support payroll processing and timekeeping accuracy
- Assist with benefits administration and employee questions
- Support employee relations and maintain confidentiality
- Help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) required
- 2+ years of experience in HR, office administration, or manufacturing support preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Sheets/Docs
- Experience with ERP systems or purchasing software is a plus
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Work Environment
- Combination of office and manufacturing plant setting
- Frequent communication with warehouse, production, and management staff
- Occasional exposure to noise, dust, and industrial work areas
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
