Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of manufacturing machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CNC programming tools.
- Assist with setup, calibration, and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to accurately produce parts.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support assembly line tasks including fabrication, tooling setup, packaging, and materials handling.
- Conduct quality control checks utilizing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to maintain product specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on troubleshooting issues related to machining processes or tooling problems.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an understanding of manufacturing processes and machining techniques.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, CAD software (such as SolidWorks), and CNC programming is a plus but not mandatory—training will be provided.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments confidently.
- Experience or familiarity with factory or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Strong math skills for measurements and calculations involved in machining tasks.
- Willingness to learn about Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
