Position Summary: A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) administers physical therapy to patients in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and IDT plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT).
Responsibilities:
-Performs services planned, delegated and supervised by the Therapist.
- Understands and adheres to established home health policies and procedures.
- Participates in teaching/educating the client and family.
- Conference with members of the health care team for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from a physical therapist assistant (PTA) curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association; or if educated outside the U.S. or trained in the U.S. military, graduated from an education program determined to be substantially equivalent to a PTA entry level education in the U.S. by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association; and
-Passed a national examination for physical therapist assistants.
-BLS- Reliable transportation with current insurance coverage and driver’s license
- Experience with OASIS and Wellsky is a plus- Experience working in home health or similar setting preferred
Pay: $45.00 per hour
