American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a freestanding ED, requiring 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience along with the ability to perform both CT and X-ray imaging.

Must be able to perform both CT and X-ray imaging

Trauma and stroke case experience required in this setting

Two available shift schedules: Wednesday–Friday nights (7p–7a) or Saturday–Monday nights (7p–7a)

12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week

Call is required

Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in a US hospital setting, with trauma and stroke experience required

Associate's Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required

Current BLS certification (AHA only)

ARRT RT(R)(CT) required

Active, unrestricted state license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable

Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Operate CT and radiographic equipment, analyze patient body habitus to adjust technical factors, and position patients correctly to produce high-quality diagnostic images

Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data prior to performing exams

Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supply management, contrast reaction response, and code situations

Schedule and complete exams and enter accurate charge codes

Minimize radiation exposure to patients and self in accordance with safety standards
