Shipping and Receiving Manager
Old Dominion Furniture Company is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our manufacturing team as a Shipping and Receiving Manager.
As a Shipping and Receiving Manager, typical duties will include the following:
- Process shipping paperwork and documents - accuracy is critical.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials.
- Coordinate and unload shipping containers.
- Collect finished goods for outgoing shipments.
- Minor assembly of finished goods.
- Inspect and perform quality control on outgoing shipments.
- Label and pack outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate building pallets and crates for shipping.
- Coordinate trucks and outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate loading and unloading trucks.
- Manage shipping inventory bins.
- Maintain order and cleanliness of shipping department.

This position requires experience working with people in a manufacturing environment. This position requires pulling information out of an ERP software system as well as inputting accurate information into an ERP software system. The more experience, the better, but we can train the right individual to fit seamlessly into our program as long as they are willing and motivated to work, retain information, solve problems and follow procedures. The ability to lift and move heavy items is required daily.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
