We are looking for Payroll and Benefits Manager to join our growing department. This is a good fit for someone with a payroll and accounting background who is eager to ultimately transition to an Human Resources Generalist role. A good candidate will be dedicated to our standards, skilled in communicating and supporting a large and dynamic operations team and eager to be part of a growth minded company. There is growth opportunity for the right person! This position will report to the Director of Human Resources.
Deliverables of this Role:
- Lead regular and off-cycle payroll with precision, timeliness and accordance with California wage and hour laws
- Maintain employee deductions and issues ongoing vacation and sick time reports
- Execute payroll and benefits related audits, inquiries and notices for workers comp, year-end, and tax forms
- HR point person to address questions, inquiries, and provide HR services to
- Manage administration of employee benefits including open enrollment, new hire enrollment, changes, and claims resolution
- Assist with leave management, and workers' compensation claims
- Partner with operations leadership on employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Track and maintain accurate and complete employee records
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration required
- History of leading payroll for multiple entities and pay groups, Rippling (HRIS) experience a huge plus!
- In depth knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, California labor laws and HR best practices
- Track record resolving employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a growth-minded environment
