American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Acute Physical Therapist Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week assignment at a level 2 trauma center in Tulsa, OK.

Inpatient acute care setting within a Rehab Services department at a level 2 trauma center
-
Patient population includes neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and oncological conditions as well as general medical cases
-
Clinician will be expected to work on all units within the hospital, primarily located in one tower
-
Uses Cerner EMR for real-time, point-of-service documentation
-
Day shift schedule, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Friday

Minimum of 2 weekend days per month required, with additional weekend opportunities available

Current active PTA license applicable to the state of Oklahoma (license required if applicable)

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant

Acute care or inpatient setting experience required

Level 2 trauma center experience preferred

BLS certification required

Two professional references required for consideration

Must provide a copy of Driver's License for consideration

Must possess a US Social Security Number and a valid US home address

Deliver physical therapy interventions in a fast-paced acute care environment, engaging regularly with an interdisciplinary team

Large rehab department of approximately 45–50 total associates, including OT and speech therapy, with roughly 8 core PTs, 3 core PTAs, and approximately 7 PRN physical therapists and assistants

Training will be provided by the team to prepare the traveler for clinical responsibilities

Standard Precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be followed as required

Local candidates are accepted; however, a radius rule applies and may affect the pay rate — the distance varies by state

COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
